South Florida Solo RV Campers meet once a month in South Florida at both state and county parks, Core of Engineering (COE) parks and private RV Parks. Members take turns "hosting" a campout, which simply put, they research the area for interesting offsite activities, make suggestions for meals out, and a brief agenda of group onsite activities. Attendees are free to join in as many of these as they like.
Members come from all walks of life, and may be full or part time FL residents.
The common thread? We all own RVs and participate as a single. In other words, a member may be married or in a relationship , with a non camping enthusiast, but prefers to travel as part of a group.
Camping locations are planned a year in advance, in order to reserve the number of sites needed at a park. Traditionally we meet from October - May, as Florida's summer months are too hot and many members have individual summer plans.
A minimal dues of $10 is required each year to maintain a membership in the South Florida Solo RV Camping club.
